Purpose

Our process for making disciples is our purpose :

We exist to love God, love people, and change the world.

 We are a new church that is growing through a simple process.  We want you to have time to influence your family and invest in your community, so we intentionally keep things simple and focused.  Every thing we do is geared toward helping you:

1. LOVE GOD - This is what Jesus said was the most important commandment in Matt. 22:37. We believe that life is all about glorifying God.  Our Sunday morning worship service is designed to help people see how great God is and encourage them to love Him with all their heart.

2. LOVE PEOPLE - This is what Jesus said was the second most important commandment in Matt. 22:39.  We believe we were created to experience life in community with others.  Our small-groups ministry is designed to help people connect with each other and build genuine relationships that reflect the love of Christ.  We want Providence to be a church where people really connect with God and each other.

3. CHANGE THE WORLD -  This is what Jesus commanded his followers to do in Matthew 28:18-20.  We believe that the purpose of the church is to glorify God by reaching people with the gospel and helping them become fully devoted followers of Christ.  When people join us and get involved in ministry at Providence, they are not just doing busy-work, they are involved in a process that is designed to actually change the world.  We are also very committed to international missions.  We are sending a team to Panama in July to build a Bible Training Center for the Guaymi Indians so that they can learn the truth and take it throughout the mountain villages of their people in Panama and Costa Rica.  The only way to really change the world is to see lived changed through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
